Only current FY 25/26 recipients will be notified of FY 26/27 funding.  Due to budget restrictions, there are NO funds available for additional recipients currently.

Fiscal Year 2025/2026 Approved Funding Recipients

Rules and Restrictions:

For nonprofit funds approved by commissioners, please note these funds are never guaranteed, limited, and are not statutorily required.  

Nonprofit recipients of taxpayer dollars are required to show how the specific funds were spent on direct services and must produce an annual audit of their organization.   

Funds may NOT be spent on political activities, fundraising, supplanting funds already received for the same purpose, alcoholic beverages, and general overhead. 

Quarterly Reporting Requirements for current recipients:

  • Approved funding allocations are on a quarterly basis only
  • Funding recipient is required to submit a quarterly report documenting how specific funds were spent on direct services. Failure to provide quarterly reports will result in discontinuation of agency’s funding immediately.
  • The quarterly report should include a budget, expense report, and report from accounting books or accounting software showing expenses. 
  • Quarterly reports should be emailed to Lori Winstead, Deputy County Manager, at ljwinstead@wilsoncountync.gov  or mail to Wilson County Manager’s Office, Attn: Lori Winstead, Deputy County Manager, POB 1728, Wilson, NC 27894. All documentation should be submitted by the following dates:
  • 1st Quarter - October 15 | 2nd Quarter – January 15
  • 3rd Quarter – April 15  | 4th Quarter – July 15
