The Unified Development Ordinance is a set of rules that govern how land may be used and developed in the unincorporated areas of Wilson County. This Ordinance consolidates the County’s land use regulatory authority as authorized by the North Carolina General Statutes, and is adopted pursuant to the authority granted to Wilson County by Chapter 160D Article 2 of the North Carolina General Statutes and any special legislation enacted for the County by the North Carolina General Assembly.
The County's UDO is undergoing a rewrite and a public meeting to review proposed changes will be held on Monday, January 12 at 5:00 p.m. in the common area on the first floor of the Wilson County Government Center.
